Commitments to Easter Seals West Kentucky

Look closely at what makes Easter Seals unique from other health and human services providers, and it becomes clear: Easter Seals' greatest strength comes from the people who are Easter Seals. Relationships are formed between therapists and clients, between teachers and preschoolers, between staff and parents, and between volunteers and staff. Helping children and adults with disabilities gain greater independence involves whole individuals, whole families and support systems.

The Charity League of Paducah

The mission of the non-profit, volunteer organization, Charity League, Inc.  includes raising funds for the Easter Seals West Kentucky.  For over 50 years, the Charity League has supported Easter Seals West Kentucky through many fund-raising events and volunteer hours.

The ladies of the Charity League work present events such as Bargain Fair, Follies, the Golf Tournament and Snow Ball.  Each of these events represents many, many volunteer hours of coordinating, planning and executing.  Each of these events is proof of the hard work and tireless dedication each member of the Charity League has to the individuals with disabilities or special needs in our community. 

Starbucks Coffee Company

Starbucks Coffee Company is the leading retailer, roaster and brand of specialty coffee in the world. The Company is committed to offering the highest quality coffee while conducting its business in ways that produce social, environmental and economic benefits for communities in which it does business. The Make Your Mark year-round program supports and encourages Starbucks staff and their friends, family and customers to volunteer in their communities. Starbucks grants cash donations to non-profit organizations based on partner and customer volunteer hours. 

Fancy chassis from all over the country paricipated in the 32nd Annual Charity River Tin Street Rod, held May 29-31 in downtown Paducah. This charity rod run recoginizes the "Best of Show" and "Best Use of Color." Proceeds benefit Easter Seals West Kentucky, Child Watch Children's Advocacy Center and St. Nicholas Clinic.  

The Community Foundation of West Kentucky
and the Fred Paxton Fund Run for Charities

The Community Foundation of West Kentucky is a granting organization that funds other non-profits' programs and services, as well as scholarships for area students. The Community Foundation includes a collection of permanent endowments designed to meet all a donor’s individualized charitable goals through one simple vehicle. Every July, the Community Foundation sponsors the Fred Paxton Fund Run for Charities, an event that raises money for 19 local organizations. The Community Foundation will match all the donations up to $10,000 per organization, up to $100,000 overall, to create extra interest in the organization's own endowment fund account.

Hardee's Making It Happen Tour

Hardee’s® restaurants are cooking up a taste of the American summer spirit and serving it to residents and local charities. The Hardee’s® ‘Making it Happen’ Tour will visit area Hardee’s® restaurants in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee and will donate money to hometown charity groups, organizations and individuals. This charitable giving tours ensures the needs of local neighborhoods are met, especially the needs of veterans and children. Contributions will be made to outstanding individuals, small groups and local charities that have a direct impact on the community. 

The Home Depot donates millions of hours, tools and supplies each year to community service projects. Through Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer program, associates work side-by-side to create life-long, meaningful relationships between the company, neighbors and associates. Formalized in 1992, Team Depot programs bring together volunteerism, do-it-yourself expertise, product donations and monetary grants as a way to support the communities where the associates live and work.
